Frequently Asked Questions —
Dealership & Warranty Myths
Will bringing my BMW or Mercedes to Eurocore void my factory warranty?
Absolutely not. And if a service advisor at the dealership told you that, they are lying to keep your commission.
Federal law (the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act) protects your right to choose your mechanic.
We use OEM parts (or a better alternative) and follow factory service schedules to the letter.
You keep your warranty; you just lose the inflated bill and the three-hour wait for a loaner.
Why are your prices better than the dealership if you use the same parts?
Because you aren’t paying for a marble floor, a cappuccino machine, and a hierarchy of middle-management service advisors who have never turned a wrench in their lives.
At Eurocore, you pay for expert labor and premium parts.
We don’t have “overhead bloat,” so we don’t have to gouge you to keep the lights on.
Do you use "fake" or "cheap" aftermarket parts?
We use OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or OES (Original Equipment Supplier) parts.
These are the same parts the dealer sells, often made by the same companies (like Bosch, Lemforder, or Mahle), just without the markup for the brand logo on the box.
We don’t use cheap Chinese knockoffs because we don’t like seeing you come back on a tow truck.
We fix it once, we fix it right.
Can you turn off that annoying "Service Due" light the dealer says only they can reset?
Yes. We have the same factory-level diagnostic computers as the dealership.
We reset your maintenance minders, register your new battery, and update your digital service history.
The car doesn’t know the difference, but your wallet will.
The dealer quoted me $5,000 for a repair. Can you give me a second opinion?
Bring us the quote. Half the time, we find they are “upselling” you on work you don’t need yet, or replacing entire assemblies when a single component is fixable.
Dealers are parts swappers; we are mechanics.
If it can be repaired safely, we repair it. If it needs replacing, we replace it. No fluff.
Performance Tuning & Modifications
Can you give my BMW a "Burble Tune" or "Pop and Bang" map?
If you want to melt your catalytic converters and destroy your turbo seals for the sake of noise, go somewhere else. We tune for horsepower and torque, not for sound effects. Dumping raw fuel into your exhaust is amateur hour, and we don’t build cars that break themselves. We build fast, reliable machines.
My friend says I can just get a cheap chip online for 50hp. Will you install it?
No. Cheap “piggyback” chips usually just trick your ECU into thinking boost is low so it adds more. It’s a shortcut that leads to blown engines and lean conditions.
If you can’t afford to tune it properly with a real ECU flash or high-end management, you can’t afford the engine replacement that cheap chip will cause.
Do it right or keep it stock.
Why is my turbocharged car slower in the Florida summer?
We use OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or OES (Original Equipment Supplier) parts.
These are the same parts the dealer sells, often made by the same companies (like Bosch, Lemforder, or Mahle), just without the markup for the brand logo on the box.
We don’t use cheap Chinese knockoffs because we don’t like seeing you come back on a tow truck.
We fix it once, we fix it right.
Do you do dyno tuning?
At the moment, no.
We focus on real-world drivability and performance.
Dyno numbers are for bragging rights; street performance is for driving.
We use data-logging and road testing to ensure your tune performs in traffic, on the highway, and in the heat—not just for one glory run on a roller.
Will modifying my car void my warranty?
Let’s be real: if you blow your engine because you doubled the boost, the dealer won’t cover it. And they shouldn’t.
However, simple mods like exhausts or intakes generally don’t void coverage for unrelated parts (like your window regulator or radio).
We help you walk the line, but if you want to play, you have to be ready to pay.
We prefer to be upfront about the risks rather than lie to you.
Florida-Specific Maintenance — Surviving the Heat
My AC just needs a "top-off." Can you just add Freon?
No. Your AC system is a sealed loop.
Freon doesn’t just “evaporate.” If it’s low, you have a leak.
“Topping it off” is like putting air in a tire with a hole in it—it’s a waste of your money and illegal to knowingly vent refrigerant.
We find the leak, fix it, and fill it properly. We don’t do band-aid fixes.
Why did my battery die after only two years?
Welcome to Florida.
The heat here cooks batteries faster than anywhere else.
Also, if your last shop just swapped the battery without “registering” it to your BMW or Audi’s computer, your alternator probably fried it.
We register every battery we install so the car knows how to charge it properly. Don’t let a rookie change your battery.
BMW says my transmission fluid is "Lifetime." Why do you want to change it?
“Lifetime” to the manufacturer means “the life of the warranty.”
Once that warranty expires, they don’t care if your transmission fails.
In Florida heat, fluids break down. If you want to keep your car past 80,000 miles, change the fluids.
If you want to buy a new transmission for $8,000 later, listen to the brochure. We believe in maintenance, not disposable cars.
Do I really need "European" oil? Can't I use the cheap stuff?
Not unless you hate your engine.
European engines have tighter tolerances and run hotter turbos that require specific synthetic additives (LL-01, 229.5, etc.) to prevent sludge and heat breakdown.
Cheap oil turns to tar in these engines.
We only use Liqui Moly, Motul, and other premium or factory-spec oils. It costs more because it actually works.
My coolant light is on. Can I just add water?
In an emergency? Sure. But get here immediately.
Automotive cooling systems are pressurized and sensitive.
Florida tap water is full of minerals that will corrode your radiator from the inside out.
We use distilled water and proper coolant mix.
Also, if it’s low, it’s leaking. Let’s find out where before you are stranded somewhere on I-95.

How We Do Business (Read This First)
Can I bring my own parts for you to install?
No. We don’t bring our own eggs to a diner, and you don’t bring parts here. We cannot warranty parts we didn’t source, and we can’t guarantee they fit. If your cheap eBay part fails in a month, we aren’t doing the labor for free to replace it. We supply the parts so we can stand behind the entire job—parts and labor—100%.
AutoZone scans my check engine light for free. Why do you charge for diagnostics?
Because AutoZone wants to sell you a part; we want to sell you a solution. A code tells you what happened, not why. A “misfire code” could be a plug, a coil, an injector, a vacuum leak, or a bad ECU. We charge for the years of training and thousands of dollars in equipment it takes to pinpoint the exact problem so you don’t waste money throwing parts at a guess. We test, we don’t guess.
Do you give estimates over the phone?
We can give you a ballpark for standard services like brakes or oil. But for repairs? No. Diagnosing a car over the phone is like a doctor diagnosing a cough via text. We need to see the car to give you an honest price. We won’t lie and give you a lowball number just to get you in the door, only to jack it up later. Bring it in, and we’ll give you a real number.
What happens if you find more problems while working on my car?
We stop. We call you. We explain it. We send you photos/video of the issue. We never spend a dime of your money without your permission. Florida law requires it, and our integrity demands it. No surprise bills, ever.
Do you offer a warranty on your repairs?
Yes. 36 Months / 36,000 Miles on parts and labor for most repairs. We stand behind our work because we know it’s done right. If a part we installed fails, we fix it. Period. Try getting that guarantee from a guy doing side work in his driveway.
